Monday, March 2 at 6 p.m. — KILLINGTON — Killington Arts Guild presents Vermont Reads: “Haroun & The Sea Stories” by Salman Rushdie on Monday, March 2, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Sherburne Memorial Library, River Road, Killington. The group will consider this touching story of a father and son, complete with water genies and talking fish, challenged with unclogging the sea of stories, to restore the father’s storytelling abilities. Rushdie has created a fantastic folktale, modern yet steeped in the narrative traditions of world cultures.
Books are available in Killington at Annie’s Painting Class, Tuesday mornings 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. in the Community Room of the Sherburne Memorial Library or in Woodstock at Hand In Hand Community Dinners on Thursday evenings 5:30 – 7 p.m. The program is presented in collaboration with Hand In Hand Community Service and the Sherburne Memorial Library.
