Billings Farm presents “Chasing Shackleton” for three showings

Billings will host the award-winning film “Chasing Shackleton,” on Saturday, Feb. 14 as part of the 5th Annual Woodstock Vermont Film Series.   

Saturday, Feb. 14 — WOODSTOCK — Billings Farm & Museum, gateway to Vermont’s rural heritage, will host the award-winning film “Chasing Shackleton,” on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. (sold out), and 7 p.m. as part of the 5th Annual Woodstock Vermont Film Series.

About Chasing Shackleton: A crew of five intrepid explorers led by renowned adventurer, scientist, and author Tim Jarvis, re-create the perilous sea-and-land journey undertaken in 1916 by polar explorer Ernest Shackleton, to find help for his crew, marooned two years in Antarctica. The film is not rated.

Charles and Jonathan Shackleton will speak after each screening. Charles is a renowned Vermont furniture maker and designer; his brother Jonathan is an Antarctic lecturer and guide and author of “Shackleton: An Irishman in Antarctica.”

Tickets prices for members: adults 16 and up, $9 per film; children 3-15, $5 per film. Non-members: adults 16 and up, $11 per film; children 3-15, $6 per film.
