Lady Saints host deep Albany College of Pharmacy team

The Lady Saints will host Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in a USCAA basketball matchup on Feb. 5, 2015.

Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences are 11-4 overall and hold a 3-1 conference record. They are a team that has a deep lineup without one dominant player. They have three players who average 11 points or more, but they’re a team that plays defense well. Albany holds opponents to fewer than 50 points per game and averages more than 10 steals per game.

The Lady Saints will have to take care of the ball and limit their turnovers, while using their own pressure to create turnovers themselves. The Saints are at their best when they are able to get in the open court and use great passing to get layups.

Look for point guard Chontayvia Kennedy to control the game by finding open shots for teammates and herself. Regina Steele can also help create second chances with offensive rebounds. She has been a force all season in the paint and continuing that will help the Saints be successful.

Tip off is at 6 pm. at the College of St. Joseph Athletic Center. The Lady Saints will head on the road next to face NJIT on Feb. 7.
