Basketball preview: Fighting Saints Men on the road at Berkeley-NYC, Feb. 1

By Justin Lemanski
Athletics Reporter

The Fighting Saints men will be on the road against Berkeley-NYC at noon Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015.

Berkeley-NYC is in the USCAA, so this game will effect CSJ’s overall ranking within the league. Berkeley is currently 11-4 with a 5-0 home record, and will be looking to continue a 4-game winning streak. They are led by Kenton Chan-Man, who is averaging 17.1 points per game while shooting very efficiently. He has a 48.7 percent field goal percentage, while shooting 38 percent from 3-point range.

The Saints will look to continue their timely defense, supported by great ball movement to create open shots. Dre Anderson has been on fire of late, averaging 25.3 points per game over his last 6 contests, while shooting over 50 percent from deep. Anderson seems to feed the rest of his team with intensity and when he plays well, he is able to make his teammates better.

The Saints will be looking to gather some momentum as they return home on Wednesday, Feb. 4 to play Vermont Tech in what should be an exciting conference match-up.
