Tour Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park on snowshoes

Saturday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. — WOODSTOCK — Start the new year with an adventure in your national park! A series of free guided nature explorations being held this winter at Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park continues. Geared for all ages, these tours and workshops will explore topics ranging from winter tree identification, wildlife tracking, bird identification and wildlife habitat management, to winter themed poetry.

This Saturday, Jan. 24, take a family snowshoe adventure. Explore the winter wonderland of Vermont’s only National Park on a two-mile long snowshoe tour with a park ranger. Along the way, look for signs of wildlife and explore the natural and cultural history of the park. The tour runs rom 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., and is easy, for the whole family to enjoy. Participants should bring a snack, water and snowshoes and come dressed for the weather. Adult and child snowshoes are available to borrow for those who don’t have their own. Meet at the Prosper Road parking lot.
