Teen steals Tacoma, Mini Cooper

On Sept. 16, 2014, Vermont State Police received a report that a 2003 Toyota Tacoma had been stolen from South Royalton and had been recovered by the owner.
After a lengthy investigation state police were able to identify Todd Swasey, age 17 from South Royalton, as the person who had stolen the vehicle. Additionally Swasey was charged in connection with the theft of a Mini Cooper on the same night. On Oct. 21, 2014State Police located Swasey in S. Royalton. Swasey was arrested without incident. Swasey was later released on a citation and is being charged with grand larceny and two counts of operating without owner consent.
