Mendon’s Logan Broyles wins U.S. Kids Boston Championship

MENDON – On Oct. 19 Logan Broyles wrapped up his 2014 golf tournament season with a three stroke win at the U.S. Kids Golf Fall Championship at Glen Ellen Country Club in Millis, Mass. Broyles bested a strong field including the U. S. Kids Golf 2013 National Player of the Year, Michael Thorbjornsen.
Broyles, the sole Vermonter in the field, shot a 76 securing the six-event fall season win. “It’s been great meeting Boston kids my age who love the sport, I’m a bit sad my practice is moving indoors soon,” said Logan.
The Boston Tour win secures Broyles’ entry to the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship held in Pinehurst, N.C. in July 2015.
