Saturday, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. — WOODSTOCK — On Saturday, Sept. 27, Billings Farm & Museum will participate in the tenth annual “National Museum Day Live!” presented by Smithsonian magazine, which allows complimentary admission for two for the day.
On National Museum Day, over 1,400 museums nationwide will open their doors free-of-charge to Smithsonian magazine readers and visitors to the Smithsonian. A celebration of culture, learning, and the dissemination of knowledge, Smithsonian’s National Museum Day reflects the spirit of the magazine and emulates the free-admission policy of the Smithsonian’s Washington, D.C.-based properties.
Darlyne Franzen, Vice President of the Woodstock Foundation, said, “We have participated in Smithsonian’s Museum Day since it began 10 years ago. Smithsonian readers have responded enthusiastically to the invitation of a one-day free admission with a guest to the Billings Farm, and attendance has increased each year. We wholeheartedly support this program and will continue to take part.”
Billings Farm & Museum also will feature the Traditional Crafts Saturday – Coopering with David Salvetti on Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission is free to all who download a “Museum Day Live!” ticket at Smithsonian.com/museumday. One ticket is permitted per household.
