Cooler in the Mountains season pass winner announced

KILLINGTON — Congratulations to Mike Jarriel of Annapolis, MD, for being drawn as the winner of a Killington Season Pass for the upcoming 2014-2015 season. The giveaway was part of the 2014 Cooler in the Mountains concert series held at Killington’s Roaring Brook Umbrella Bars this summer.

Jarriel has been skiing at Killington since 2003 and attended the Cooler in the Mountains performance by Santa Mama after a day of mountain biking with his family. Other Killington ski friends joined him there, Jarriel told event officials.

The Jarriel family has “been skiing most winter weekends since the kids started walking,” Jarriel wrote after winning the pass. Jarriel and his daughter are volunteer ski patrollers at a small mountain in south central Pennsylvania. “As a member of the Eastern Division ski and toboggan staff, I have been teaching at Killington several times per year since 2003,” he said, adding that he purchased a condo in Killington and became regular season pass holders in 2011.

“While is it a long drive from Maryland, we visit Killington regularly and love the skiing, hiking, biking, fresh air, and most of all being far away from suburban DC. We enjoy many weekends in Killington with family and friends,” he said.
