Friday, Sept. 5 at 1:30 p.m. — RUTLAND — The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute exists to promote continuing education for area residents age 50 and older, under the auspices of the University of Vermont. A Board of Directors, composed of local residents, work year round to provide speakers on topics of interest.
The board recently announced the 2014 Fall Program. The September series will start on Friday, Sept. 5, and will cover the influence of immigrants in our area, including the Welsh, the Italian and the French Canadian.
The Osher Lecture Series is held on Friday afternoons at the Godnick Center, 1 Deer St., in Rutland, starting at 1:30 p.m. and ending by 3 p.m. There is a $5 charge per lecture or $40 for the entire series.
