Killington Resort hosts POC Eastern States Cup, a gravity mountain bike racing event Sept. 6-7

KILLINGTON — On Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 6-7, Killington will welcome back the POC Eastern States Cup and the Enduro and SuperD Regional Championship finals for gravity mountain bike racing. The Eastern States Cup is officially sanction by USA Cycling for Mountain Biking. All USAC rules apply. State and Series competitors must have annual USAC Licenses.

The Eastern States Cup was developed in 2010 as a USA Cycling Eastern Regional Downhill Mountain Bike Championship Series and featured two USA Cycling State Championships. In 2011 the series expanded to three USAC State Championships at six premier East Coast Venues. 2012 brought another year of growth. The series blossomed to 14 races and five USAC State Championships. In 2013 the ESC added a very successful Enduro Series and in 2014 the ESC added the Eastern States Cup SuperD Series.

Gravity mountain bike racing has grown exponentially over the past decade and the series on the East Coast are no exception.
