Local restaurants offering prix-fixe menus again in 2014
KILLINGTON — The Town of Killington’s Restaurant Week is returning for the third year from Sept. 6-13. The promotion will once again featured fixed-price menus from restaurants across town, giving Killington region residents and visitors the opportunity to sample different cuisines from Killington’s best restaurants.
All participating restaurants will be offering a multi-course dinner menu celebrating the elevation of Killington Peak at $42.41 (Killington peak is 4241’ above sea level) for two, or $21.20 for one, plus tax and tip. An announcement of the participating restaurants will be made next week.
Amy Morrison, Event & Marketing Coordinator for the Town of Killington says, “Killington Restaurant Week really highlights the incredible culinary scene we have in town and the price point creates a wonderful opportunity to try new restaurants or revisit old favorites.”
As a state, Vermont has a successful track record of food-based events, seen in the propensity of ‘Farm to Table’ events, the launch of the Vermont Fresh network, and the Seven Days Restaurant week, produced in Burlington. The Town helps to bring this enthusiasm to central Vermont just after the start of the popular Killington Hay festival, running Labor Day through Columbus Day.
