Thursday, July 17 at 7 p.m. — FAIR HAVEN — On Thursday, July 17 at 7 p.m., Enerjazz Big Band returns to Fair Haven for a concert in one of Vermont’s most beautiful parks.
Enerjazz is a Rutland county based band that made its public debut a few years ago right here in Fair Haven. Since that time, the group has played at various venues and events around the region. Its goal is to recreate original charts as they were played by the original artists. Multi-talented performers are in evidence as the band plays hits from yesteryear. Songs such as All of Me, Orange Colored Sky, Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White, and Satin Doll can be expected at this concert; but you might also hear tunes such as Old Time Rock and Roll or Blue Suede Shoes. Audiences are invited to dance, sing along, or just sit back and enjoy the harmonies of a big band.
Fair Haven Concerts in the Park series take place on Thursday evenings during the summer, at 7 p.m. Concert goers are encouraged to arrive early, set up their chairs, put down their blankets, and enjoy a picnic before the concerts start. This year, West Park Place is blocked at the north end. Traffic is being routed to the south end of the park so cars can be directed to park diagonally around the outside of the park fence. Additional handicap parking spaces are designated for those who need them.
Popcorn, hot dogs, soda, and water are available for purchase. During the short intermission, door prizes will be given away the 50-50 drawing will take place.
