Rutland Transfer Station announces holiday closures

RUTLAND — The Rutland Transfer Station on Gleason Road has announced closures for upcoming holidays. The station will be closed on Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day, and Saturday, July 4 for Independence Day. They advise to please plan ahead for those days.

Starting Monday, May 18, the recycling center at the station will be open Monday through Saturday, from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. during the same hours that the scales are normally open. It was previously only accessible on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
