Rutland town says ‘yes’ to school safety

Timothy Hammond defeated incumbent Nicole McPhee 474-375 for a two-year school board seat in Rutland town.

Rutland voters approved all special articles, including a $235,000 bond to improve elementary  school safety on Town Meeting Day.

The bond passed 526-322.

Voters also approved a $7.9 million school budget 550-331 and a $986,277 general fund budget 774-122.
