Horace “Red” Glaze
Join the family to celebrate Red’s life of service
After years of service to his community, Horace “Red” Glaze will be moving to Lakewood Ranch, Fla. with his wife, Taylor. A celebration in his honor will be held at the Green Mountain National Golf Course on Sunday, April 24. from 3-5 p.m. Glaze served Killington in its early years as fire chief, he was a selectman for several terms, and filled the role of Killington’s town moderator for 29 years. He was also a Paul Harris Rotarian and friend to all. Glaze built one of the first ski lodges in Killington, The Red Rob Inn, opening its doors to skiers in 1960. The Killington Mountain School now resides in the original Red Rob Inn building on the access road (Killington Road). The Glazebrook Condo development and many homes and roads also carry Glaze’s mark of excellence. Come and join the celebration and bring along a story to share of how Red has touched your life.
