All proceeds to benefit the KMS Trail Initiative
Friday, Sept. 20 - KILLINGTON - KMS will host a golf tournament
as part of their on-going Trail Initiative fundraising efforts.
"Our goal is to support excellence for all students with the KMS
Trails Initiative. 100% of the proceeds will go towards supporting
our student," said Tao Smith, KMS Head of School. Every dollar
raised at the tournament will be put towards the Trails Initiative
Project specifically, he said.
The tournament will take place at Killington Golf Course.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. The
tournament will be a scramble with teams of four players. $125
contribution per player includes 18 holes of golf, cart, BBQ lunch,
hors d'oeuvres and a cocktail reception at Lookout Tavern.
Prizes will be awarded for the top teams Low Net, Low Gross,
Longest Drive and Closest to Pin.
"The Trails Initiative Project will provide our Student-Athletes
a world class training venues right in our own backyard. Your
support brings us closer to achieving this goal," wrote Smith in a
letter to the KMS community.
After having a two year hiatus, due to Hurricane Irene, the KMS
tournament has been resurrected and will be, once again, an
excellent opportunity for the KSC-KMS, and Killington Community to
come together and raise funds for the KMS Trails Initiative
Killington Mountain School is dedicated to supporting our many
talented Students-Athletes by providing them with the best coaching
staff and training facilities.
