Pico Hiko Splitfest offers demos for uphill travel

Friday, Feb. 28 at 8:30 a.m.—KILLINGTON—Interested in splitboarding? Looking for your perfect setup? Want to learn more about safe access to the backcountry? From first-timers to seasoned split vets, this event will help you find the ideal ride, from the right gear for mellow on-resort morning laps to the finest quality big-mountain freeride shred tools and avalanche safety equipment! Better yet, the exhibiting brands will have awesome prizes in a raffle benefiting Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports, an excellent nonprofit providing action sports accessibility for every body.

Jones Snowboards, Mammut, Never Summer Industries, Burton Snowboards and Rome SDS, and Weston Backcountry are providing complete splitboard demo setups, mounting their boards on Spark and Karakoram bindings, and skins. Jones Snowboards will also have poles and packs available to test.

It’s encouraged to bring your poles and packs as not every brand will have them to demo.

Splitboarding is a big, long-term investment; take advantage of a very affordable opportunity to try before you buy, and get on as many setups as your legs and lungs can muster from the best brands in the industry.

A Killington/Pico Uphill Travel Pass is required.
