West Pawlet invites all to community day of sales and eats

Saturday, July 9 at 9 a.m. — WEST PAWLET — The Fire Department Auxiliary’s annual flea market, once-a-year big raffle, and bake sale will be held on town-wide yard sale day in West Pawlet on Saturday, July 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will be held at the fire station located at 2806 Vermont Route 153 (Main Street), rain or shine. It’s a family even,and all are welcome.

Auxiliary members Joanne Reid and Ellie Park said that a lot will be going on throughout the day. Food will be available at a light breakfast, a food sale and a luncheon. The firehouse kitchen will open at 9 a.m. for light breakfast treats and coffee. The food sale will offer many homemade items such as rolls, beans and pies, and much more. The luncheon kitchen will sell hamburgers and hotdogs.

There will be a variety of flea market items from local and visiting vendors.

The big raffle has over 50 items to be raffled, including an AERUS Heater ($600 value) and cash. Raffle tickets are currently on sale for $1 each and may be purchased through any Auxiliary member. Drawings will begin around 2 p.m. and one does not need to be present to win. For more information about the raffle, call Joanne Reid at 645-0244.

In addition, the firemen will also be barbecuing chicken as a fundraiser for the West Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department.
