Saturday, June 11 at 5 p.m. — LUDLOW — Members of the United Church of Ludlow are preparing for a fund raising pork dinner at the United Church on Saturday, June 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. The dinner will raise funds to support the Malayaka House in Entebbe, Uganda. The Ludlow Area Rotary Club, which also provides support for Malayaka House, will join the church group in serving the dinner.

Malayaka House is an orphanage in Entebbe, Uganda that provides a home for orphans along with educational and vocational training. According to Linda Thomson of the United Church, “Malayaka House, founded by Robert Fleming in 2006, provides the most vulnerable orphaned and abandoned Ugandan children with a safe and loving home, education, and vocational training so they may grow into self-reliant citizens whose lives are full of opportunity and promise.”
