Jenniflower’s tie dye artwork will be on display at Sandy’s Books & Bakery and The Bookery in Rochester from April 15 to June 30.

Over the last four years, Jenniflower has been experimenting with traditional and ice dyeing techniques on fabric, using fiber reactive dyes and ice or snow to melt the color through the fabric. The result is a psychedelic watercolor effect. Many of the pieces are created using up-cycled and vintage linens.

Also on display will be original arts and crafts created by the bookstore’s staff. Beth Frock will present a selection of her Boysenberry clothing line. Sandy Lincoln will offer a browser with hand marbled, suminagashi and gelli™ printed papers. Erica Leismeister has been busy creating a selection of acrylic paintings featuring animals. Angie Stahler’s newest medium is glass mosaic. There will also be works by Tristan Goding and Kim Tremhalm.

Original oil paintings of birds of prey by Diana Clegg Brown will still be available for a limited time at The Bookery.

The stores are on North Main St.  in Rochester and will be open Wednesday to  Sunday,  9 a.m. to  4 p.m. For more information, call 802-767 4258.
