Theater in the Woods presents fall fundraiser: Two evenings of 10-minute plays

Friday – Saturday, Nov. 11 – 12 — POULTNEY — Theater in the Woods’ fall fundraiser is, two evenings of ten-minute plays. Readings of the plays and a meal will be at Stone Valley Arts in Poultney. Soups, salads and sides served from 5:30 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.

Plays begin on first floor at 7 p.m., with author/actor talkbacks after the readings. For a $25 ticket, enjoy a scrumptious fall dinner and an evening of four plays read by community’s actors, with a talkback between writers and actors afterwards.  A two-night discount gets you all eight plays for $40. Eight different plays by our community’s writers — four presented readings each night!

Theater in the Woods fundraiser benefits the scholarship fund and operations of its annual summer camp for children ages 7-16. The four directors: Megan Bouchard, Melissa Chesnut-Tangerman, Rainbow Squier, and Wheaton Squier began offering summer camps in 2016. With the expansion to five weeks in 2022, they serve up to 60 kids from Rutland and Bennington counties with their individualized approach to creating community through theater.
