Tsuneo Narumi, “Love Triangle,” carved wood

WEST RUTLAND—The Carving Studio and Sculpture Center (CSSC) presents a gallery exhibition of works from the “Core” series by Tsuneo Narumi through April. The elegantly balanced kinetic sculptures were each carved from a single piece of wood. His aim was to show that freedom can be found among restrictions and that we are all harmonically connected at the core of being.

Mr. Narumi was a CSSC artist-in-residence in 1999. The exhibition is being held in conjunction with International Sculpture Day, April 24. The Carving Studio and Sculpture Center gallery, located at 636 Marble St. in West Rutland, is open to the public Mondays through Fridays “by chance or appointment.” For more information call 802-438-2097,  email info@carvingstudio.org, or visit carvingstudio.org/isday_exhibit.
