Take Grace Church’s Steeple Chase challenge

Saturday, Aug. 22 at 9 a.m.—RUTLAND—All are invited to participate in the Grace Steeple Chase scavenger hunt. This celebration of Rutland’s history and heritage is dedicated to the memory of Lincoln Fenn, a long-time member of Grace Church and historian extraordinaire.

The Steeple Chase is free and all are welcome.

Please park in the West Street parking lot and register in the Grace Church children’s playground behind the library. There will be no access to Grace Church, so public restrooms will not be available.
To follow state regulations, please wear masks or cloth facial coverings over your nose and mouth anywhere you come in contact with others from outside your households, especially in congregate settings, and where it is not possible to maintain a physical distance of at least six feet.
Your team will solve the provided clues. The clues can be solved in any order. You will be given a QRcode to scan; please be sure that someone on your team has a charged smartphone handy.

All clues will send you to the outside of public locations within a 3/4 – mile radius of Grace Church.  Please refrain from entering the properties during the Steeple Chase Challenge. Please respect the properties and their grounds.
Unless stated otherwise, each team is asked to photograph itself in front of the key locations. Judges should be able to review the images on your phone or digital camera at the end of the challenge. (No phones or cameras will be provided.) All teams must return to Grace Church by 12 p.m.

The winning team will be announced on Sunday morning, Aug. 23, during the 10 a.m. worship service at Grace Church.
