Road construction report for the week of Nov. 16

Here is a list of road construction projects happening throughout mid-central Vermont. Please remember to drive safely in all work zones. Lives depend on it.

I-91 Hartland – Travelers will see lane reductions northbound and southbound, with reduced speeds enforced in the work zone for bridge replacement operations.

Bethel – The bridge along VT 12 has been opened to traffic; sign installation remains. Expect a slowing of traffic through the project area this week while signs are installed.

Hartford – Traffic pattern changes and significant delays are expected along US 5 and Sykes Mountain Ave. on Monday, 11/16, and Tuesday, 11/17, between 6 AM and 5 PM for line striping. Once line striping is complete, the roadway will return to its pre-construction traffic pattern. Crews will then work in the shoulders raising drainage structures for the remainder of the week.

Pittsford – Multiple activities for roadway reconstruction along US 7 this week. Lane shifts and new traffic patterns are now in effect. Motorists should proceed with caution as they navigate through the project area. Expect intermittent stoppages of traffic throughout the week, with minor delays. A speed reduction to 35 mph remains in effect.
