RCPCC holds volunteer day and Dr. Seuss celebration

Saturday, April 25 at 10 a.m. — BRANDON — Comcast has partnered with local area businesses, organizations and volunteers to renovate outdoor areas at the Rutland County Parent-Child Center located at 34 Faivre Circle in Brandon. Being held on Saturday, April 25, Comcast Cares Day is a national event where volunteers provide community service that has a positive impact on selected organizations. There are many projects planned for the day including replacement of latticework and fencing, improving the raised bed garden, installing pea stone and sand near the playground and improving the signage at the facility. All volunteers are asked to bring their shovels, rakes and gloves to the event. A light breakfast and lunch will be served to volunteers who help out with Comcast Cares Day.

In addition to Comcast Cares Day event on April 25, the Rutland County Parent-Child Center is celebrating Dr. Seuss with a variety of activities scheduled inside the Brandon facility from 10 a.m.-2 pm. “Dr. Seuss is a favorite of our Early Childhood Education students and families. We welcome other children and families from the community to come by and join in the fun,” said Hover.
