Punk in the Park returns to Rutland with family-friendly vibes

Saturday, Sept. 3 at 12 p.m.—RUTLAND—Punk in the Park is back for its eleventh year, Saturday, Sept. 3 from noon to 7:30 p.m. in Main Street Park, Rutland.
Punk in the Park is more exciting than ever with a killer line up including Ransom Smith (Claremont, N.H.); Polaroid Love (Rutland, Vt.); Honest John (Providence, R.I.); The Frenzy of Tongs (Providence, R.I.); and this year’s headliner Gwell-O, a New England sheet metal band that is heavily inspired by GWAR and featuring members of Green Jello.
This year also features many returning bands including Chodus (Claremont, N.H.); Blind Threat (Albany, N.Y.); Jonee Earthquake (New England); and of course local acts Morpheus, Middleson, and Fall of Time.
As always, Punk in the Park has a family-friendly vibe that includes face painting, bounce houses and food catered by The Local. This is a non-smoking, drug- and alcohol-free event.
