Pulling makes her case for Rutland Town

Dear Editor,

I am running as a bipartisan candidate for Rutland Town’s House seat, inviting ALL residents to build a bold new legislative agenda for our town.

If elected, I will represent everyone in our town —all Republicans, Independents, and Democrats —constantly communicate and continually seek input. We are one town.

Covid-19 requires a decisive change in Montpelier. As a bipartisan Representative with proven teamwork expertise, I will use my experience and real-world background to effectively work for you. We will solve our Covid-19 economic and healthcare crises, together.

I was born and raised in Rutland Town, attended Rutland Town schools, and graduated from UVM. I’m chair of the Rutland Town Planning Commission, and senior planner at the Rutland Regional Planning Commission. I earned a master’s degree in Public Policy from George Mason University after a successful first career in broadcast television journalism.

The foundation of my campaign is you. Instead of “politics as usual” of the past — marred by division, discord, and polarizing hyper-partisanship — I will champion town-wide engagement, unity, voter-based initiatives, and listening to all residents.

My pledges are:

NO increases to existing taxes/fees

NO new taxes/fees

NO to hyper-partisanship

YES to full economic recovery from Covid-19

YES to a Green Recovery of renewable energy growth, new investments, and
new jobs

YES to safeguarding Rutland Town’s exceptional education system

YES to developing a robust and equitable public health system, advocating for clean air, clean water, environmental sustainability, and a stable climate

YES to tackling the “Two Vermonts” by attracting new businesses, growth, revenue streams, and residents to Rutland Town

YES to building together a future of growth, opportunity, and sustainable prosperity.

I hope that I have earned your trust, and I humbly ask for your vote.

Thank you, my friends!

Barbara Noyes Pulling
