Pentangle Arts reflects on year of spectacular productions and community events

Dear Editor,

Happy New Year from Pentangle Arts. I’ve completed my first year as the organization’s executive director and find every day as interesting and challenging (in a good way) since the day I started.

Over the year I’ve met so many talented singers, dancers, and artists from the Upper Valley and beyond. I’ve had the privilege of meeting independent documentary film makers and screening their films, covering subjects as wide and varied as Nordic skiing, to the plight of factory workers injured while assembling tablets and iPhones for Apple products in China, to senior citizens revisiting their acting past by participating in a production of “Mid-Summer Night’s Dream.”

The year also included fabulous productions such as Fiddler on the Roof, The Rocky Horror Show, a host of free concerts on the Village Green, and a full series of free classical concerts in area churches.

As we enter 2016 we thank our hundreds of members, area businesses, donors large and small who help us keep the doors open, the movies running, the free concerts on the Green and annual live musical theater productions.

Alita Wilson,

executive director,

Pentangle Arts
