Cast members and props fill the stage in the National Theatre of Great Britain’s presentation of “Treasure Island” Live in HD.
Sunday, May 17 at 2 p.m. — RUTLAND — The Paramount Theatre continues its Live in HD from the National Theatre of Great Britain series with “Treasure Island,” Robert Louis Stevenson’s story of murder, money and mutiny brought to life on the Olivier stage in a thrilling new stage adaptation by Bryony Lavery. Catch the encore broadcast on Sunday, May 17 at 2 p.m.
It’s a dark, stormy night. The stars are out. Jim, the innkeeper’s granddaughter, opens the door to a terrifying stranger. At the old sailor’s feet sits a huge sea-chest, full of secrets. Jim invites him in – and her dangerous voyage begins.
The show is suitable for ages 10 and up. Tickets are $15 for the encore broadcast. Paramount Theatre is located at 30 Center Street, Rutland.
