Megan Price, Santa, and breakfast converge on West Pawlet, Dec. 13

Meet author Megan Price as she talks about and signs copies of her new book, “Vermont Wild – Adventures of Fish & Game Wardens” in West Pawlet.

Sunday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. — WEST PAWLET — Come to West Pawlet and meet Megan Price, Author of “Vermont Wild,” who will be present (weather permitting) at the Dec. 13 pancake breakfast event sponsored by the West Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department. Price will be there with friends for breakfast, and beginning at 10 a.m. she will be available for signings of her newest book, “Vermont Wild – Adventures of Fish & Game Wardens, Volume Four.”

The “Vermont Wild” series, tales of wily poachers, persistent wardens and countless ironic twists and turns have created a lot of the fun and laughs for readers. The stories have proven popular with readers ages 9 to 99. Local wardens star in the new “Vermont Wild” book.  Retired game wardens Norm Brown of Wells and Terry Williams of Poultney are among a half dozen men who contributed to the newly released, “Vermont Wild, Adventures of Fish & Game Wardens, Volume Four.” The new book contains more than 260 pages and 13 illustrated short stories and features a charging bull moose on the cover.

Megan Price will also be making an appearance at Phoenix Books Rutland on Sunday, Dec. 13 from 1 to 3 p.m. for a book signing and meet and greet.

The location for the pancake breakfast and the book signing is in the firehouse of the West Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department located at 2806 Vermont Route 153 (Main Street). The breakfast menu includes pancakes of several varieties including regular, chocolate chip, blueberry and cranberry and local maple syrup; as well as waffles, West Pawlet’s world-famous home fries, scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon. The menu’s beverages include coffee, tea, milk and orange juice. Breakfast is served by the firemen from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Breakfast prices are $8 for 12 years and up, $5 for 5 to 12 years and free to children under the age of 5.

Santa Claus will also be at the breakfast event from 8 to 10 a.m. on Dec. 13. All are welcome.

As a charity fund-raiser event, breakfast profits are dedicated for the department’s equipment and training needs. The department is a non-profit. Donations are appreciated and are gratefully received. New members are welcome.
