Area youth ages 4 to 18 have been working since January on what promises to be a very professional show.

“The Little Mermaid” is the fourth full-length ballet Vermont Center for Dance Education has produced in as many years. The show will feature 46 area students with scores of incredible costumes and scenery carefully constructed by family and friends of the dancers,

The title role will be danced by Charlotte Kearns, with Hannah Gustafson as the sea witch and Manolo Zelkin as the prince. Emily Dupont, Kristina Hilliard and Carley Lund will portray the roles of the mermaid sisters and Zoë Marr Hilliard has been cast as the grandmother.
