“Life in Synchro,” the toughest sport you’ve never heard of streaming from Billings Farm

February 11-14—WOODSTOCK— Billings Farm & Museum’s 11th annual Woodstock Vermont Film Series features “Life in Synchro,” a fascinating, fun, and entertaining look into the sport of synchronized ice skating, directed and produced by Angela Pinaglia.

Synchronized skating has been empowering generations of women since 1956 when it was founded by a father who saw the need for team sports for girls. Today, despite skaters lifting, leaping, and spinning together, the sport is overlooked by most in the media.

The film follows dedicated athletes around the country as they push their teams and themselves beyond the routine and up towards greatness. At the top of their game, the stars of today are chasing Olympic dreams not just for themselves, but for their beloved sport. The newcomers, the passionate amateurs and the founders of the sport are just as inspiring as they prove the staying power of synchro.

An interview with the director, Angela Pinaglia, follows the film.

The Woodstock Vermont Film Series is produced by Billings Farm & Museum with generous support from local sponsors. Lead sponsors include the Woodstock Inn & Resort and the Ellaway Group.
