Killington turns down school budget

Killington voters turned down a $21 million school budget 204-105 on Tuesday, March 3.

The “no” vote came after school board member Jim Haff told voters the night before that he believed the Windsor Central Supervisory Union business office was mismanaging finances.

It’s not yet known how the other towns in the school district voted for the budget.

The municipal budget passed  259-103. Voters also approved merging with the Barnard School District 255 to 90.

For the primary election results, 132 people voted for Bernie Sanders, 81 for Joe Biden, 65 for Michael Bloomberg and 19 for Elizabeth Warren.
