Friday, July 17 — KILLINGTON — Killington ART Garage is excited to kick off the 2015 Killington’s Wine Festival Weekend with artist Peter Huntoon. On Friday, July 17, Huntoon will share his unique painting techniques and various creative concepts while producing a new work of art featuring a local Vermont subject. Killington ART Garage invites the public to come watch a true Vermont artist, who is motivated by community spirit and authenticity and inspired by Vermont’s integrity, diversity, and capricious nature.

Alongside Huntoon, Killington ART Garage will feature wines by Vermont’s Boyden Valley Winery & Spirits paired with fresh-made cheese and accoutrements from the farmers at Sweet Georgia P’s in Pittsfield and northern Vermont’s Nutty Steph’s handcrafted chocolates.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Artist demo and wine tasting/pairing begins at 6 p.m. The cost is $15.

The ART Garage rounds out the weekend with a light brunch, wine and ART workshop on Sunday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to noon, with instructor Sally D. Curtis. Create one of a kind alcohol-based ink abstract coasters (set of 4) and enjoy a BYOB (bubbly) and catered local fare brunch. The cost is $55 (includes brunch, instruction and materials.) Call 802-422-8844 to reserve your spot.
