Killington Active Seniors enjoy annual picnic

By Gerrie Russell
A beautiful Vermont evening, good food, great conversation with a lot of laughs and the promise of entertainment within walking distance lured almost 50 Killington Active Seniors to their annual picnic.
This was held last Thursday evening, Aug. 4,  at the Herbert L. Johnson Recreation Center.
Long-time Killington residents, summer residents and year round residents new to Killington joined together for hamburgers and hot dogs, donated by the Killington Fire Department. Salads and desserts were made by all who came. Our town clerk and town planner stopped by as did Phil and Joy Black, who host our weekly luncheons at the Look Out. Many thanks to Nan and Andy Salamon who organized the event and to Andy Salamon and Ron Willis who did the cooking.
If you could not attend his year’s event be sure to put it on your August 2017 calendar as it is not to be missed.
For more information on the Killington Active Seniors please call Gerrie Russell 422-2921, new members are always welcome.
