Green Mountain Power offers marrow donor registration site

Thursday, Aug. 25 at 7 a.m.—RUTLAND—Green Mountain Power invites community members to be the cure for patients with leukemia, lymphoma and other deadly diseases by attending the Be The Match marrow donor registration drive Thursday, Aug. 25 from 7 to 10 a.m. at the GMP office, 2152 Post Road in Rutland.
To join the registry you must be between the ages of 18 and 44, in good general health and willing to donate to any person you may match. Registration is simple, requiring only paperwork and a cheek swab. No blood is taken at registration. The cost is covered by the marrow donor program at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
