Ducks race to the finish line in support of homeless animals

Sunday, Sept. 18 at 2 p.m.—RUTLAND—On Sunday, Sept. 18 at 2 p.m., hundreds of plastic ducks will race to the finish line in a stream at Giorgetti Park in Rutland. These colorful ducks will win cash prizes for their adopters. Money raised will support the programs and homeless animals at Rutland County Humane Society (RCHS). The public can participate by adopting ducks: a single duck is $3; a “quack pack” of four ducks is $10; and a “six-quack” (six ducks) is $15. Call RCHS to adopt a duck over the phone at 802-483-9171; stop by the shelter in person; or visit rchsvt.org. RCHS is located at 765 Stevens Road, Pittsford.
