The Climb Out of the Darkness walk and fundraiser for survivors, providers and members of the community is in its 10th year.

The Rutland Climb brings the community together to shine a light on a darkness many often don’t speak about. Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders are the most common complications of pregnancy and childbirth: one in seven women experience them. Celebrate recovery by gathering together to raise money, raise awareness and walk together to symbolize the ‘Climb’ Out of the Darkness. It’s time to de-stigmatize mental health concerns of new parents (through birth, kinship, foster, adoption).

Walk the trail to symbolize climbing toward recovery. The event is simultaneous with Building Bright Future’s “Just Play, No Way” celebrating the power of play for young children. Games, activities, prizes, family DJ.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Giorgetti Complex/Pine Hill Park, 2 Oak St Ext in Rutland.

All are welcome to the free event. Registration not required but is encouraged at climbout2022.causevox.com/team/team-rutland.
