Celebrate July 4 with games at Woodstock Union High School and support the humane society

Dear Editor,

On July 4, Woodstock will once again celebrate Independence Day outside at the Woodstock Union High School. This is truly one of the best celebrations in Windsor County, featuring live entertainment, a spectacular firework display, food, and a variety of games for kids by VT Volunteer Services for Animals Humane Society (VVSA).

This year VVSA is inviting volunteers and families, as well as organizations and businesses to participate by running one of their most favorite games. If contacted by June 15, we’ll make every attempt to display a sign, identifying your name, organization or business. Kids and parents love the games and every child wins!

Proceeds from the games benefits VVSA with our investigations of abused/neglected animals and provides food and medical care for animals that would otherwise go without. No salaries are taken for our work and all proceeds benefit the animals.

VVSA also administers the VT Spay Neuter Incentive Program (VSNIP) by helping income challenged care-providers of dogs and cats be neutered/spayed, and receive vaccinations through this program, which is administered under the VT Economic Services. For an application send a S.A.S.E. to VSNIP, P.O. Box 104, Bridgewater, VT 05034. Indicate if this is for a dog, a cat, or both when applying.

Thank you for your consideration of helping us on the 4th! Please call 802-672-5302, and leave a message.
