Castleton Upward Bound participates in children’s summer food program

CASTLETON—Castleton College Upward Bound is participating in the Summer Food Service Program for Children. Funded by the United States Department of Agriculture, the program is designed to ensure that children who rely on free or reduced price meals during the school year continue to have adequate nutrition throughout the summer.

Participating children in households that qualify for 3Squares (formerly Food Stamps) or receive Reach Up benefits are automatically eligible to receive free meal benefits. Children in families with gross incomes at or below the levels in the chart below are also eligible for free meals, provided that appropriate documentation is given to the sponsor.

Meals will be served daily to participants at the Huden Dining Hall at 7:30 a.m., 12 p.m., and 5 p.m. from June 22-July 30, 2015.For additional information, call 802-468-6400.
