Brandon Arts Guild offers creativity classes for children and adults

Sunday, April 17 — BRANDON — The Brandon Artists Guild is a strong supporter of the arts for children. They contribute annually to art education in nine area schools. This year the fund raising will include many opportunities for members of the community, both children and adults, to learn from local talented artists and teachers.

Norma Jean Rollet, a rising talent in Middlebury, will share her excitement and skills in the fine art of pastel painting on April 17. Rollet specializes in outdoor painting of Vermont landscapes, working in layers which result in a vibrant luminous quality. The workshop cost is $45.

A children’s workshop will take place on April 24, “Insects Up Close” for grades 3 to 6. The workshop is $20.

Classes are limited to 15, and will be held at the historic Granary building, 29 Union Street in Brandon, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. All supplies and materials are included. To reserve space call 802-247-4956 or visit the Brandon Artists Guild, 7 Center Street, Brandon during open hours.

Visit brandonartistsguild.org for details on future workshops.
