BRAM to celebrate Vermont History

Saturday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. — LUDLOW — The Black River Academy Museum and The Book Nook will host “A Walk Through Vermont History” on Saturday, Sept. 19. The daylong event will start at 10 a.m. with a historical tour through the village of Ludlow. A bus will take participants to 15 different houses in the village of Ludlow, with Ludlow Elementary 6th graders in period costume providing historical information about each house at each stop of the tour. After the tour, three historians: Bruce M. Venter, Gary G. Shattuck and Michelle Arnosky Sherburne, will talk about specific historical events in Vermont history.

The doors to the museum will open at 9:30 a.m. and people will be able to enjoy breakfast snacks before getting on the bus for the historical tour of Ludlow. The author talks will start at 11 a.m. with Gary Shattuck, and then continue in the afternoon after lunch with Bruce Venter talking at 12:30 p.m. and Michelle Arnosky Sherburne talking at 1:30 p.m. The entry fee for the event is$20 per person and will include morning snacks and lunch.
