Saturday, Jan. 18—VERMONT—The Vermont High School bowling tournament is underway, with 11 teams from across the state vying for the title.
After two weeks, Windsor leads the standings with 24 points, Randolph is in seconds with 22 points and S. Burlington is third with 21 points. The top 3 individual bowlers are Howard Stockwell of Randolph, Cean Lieberman of Hartford and Joseph Warner of Randolph. The top 32 bowlers will qualify for the Individual Championship held at Rutland’s Bowlerama, Feb. 22.
The next event in the tournament happens on Jan. 18 with Enosburg, S. Burlington and Randolph meeting at Dairy Center in Enosburg at 9 a.m.; Hartford, Essex, Fair Haven and Brattleboro facing off at Maple Lanes in Claremont, at 12 p.m.; and Burlington, Springfield and Windsor in Randolph at 1 p.m.
