New officers elected

RUTLAND—On Thursday, Oct. 13, the Stafford Technical Center chapter of Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) elected and installed officers for the school year. The results of the election are as follows: President, Kira Simonds from Otter Valley Union High School;Vice President/Parliamentarian, Alexa Moyer from Otter Valley Union High School; Secretary/Treasurer, Brittney Parker from Rutland High School; and Historian/Reporter Emily Silva from Fair Haven High School.
Throughout the year, FCCLA members tackle issues such as teen violence prevention, traffic safety, family issues, career exploration, and much more. FCCLA programs and competitions enrich student learning, improve self-esteem, and serve students with a range of ability levels, economic situations, and cultural influences.
