Saturday, Sept. 17 at 5:30 p.m.—WELLS—Rutland Area Farm and Food Link (RAFFL) is thrilled to announce the return of Twilight in the Meadow, an intimate evening of local food, craft beer and delicious wine alongside live music, dancing and our highly anticipated auctions, both live and silent.
Working with another outstanding farm to host RAFFL’s signature fundraising event, Larson Farm and Creamery in Wells will open its doors to ticket holders on Saturday, Sept. 17. A small scale, grass-fed dairy, this vibrant family farm will showcase its farmstead gelato and a behind-the-scenes tour for Twilight sponsors giving at the $250 level and higher. Followed by the main celebration at 5:30 p.m., Roots the Restaurant will cater an array of small plates, desserts and beverage, featuring local ingredients from area farms, along with wine and local beer pours for $3. A live and silent auction will be followed by the foot stomping Americana tunes of Cobblestone, a new folk band based out of Albany.
This elegant and fun gathering will also be an opportunity to honor and celebrate Tara Kelly, a founding member of RAFFL in 2004 and the organization’s first director in 2009, a position she held for seven years. Kelly left in July to accept the position of planning director for the city of Rutland. RAFFL’s new executive cirector, Elena Gustavson, will also be on hand to celebrate with Kelly, the board, staff and guests.
Tickets are $85 per person and include food, beverages and music. Purchase tickets online at rutlandfarmandfood.org/twilight-2016 or by mail.
