Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m.—CHITTENDEN—On Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m., the Chittenden Historical Society is pleased to welcome Richard B. Smith, whose presentation “Ethan Allen, the Revolution and Chittenden” will be accompanied by Powerpoint slides. This event will take place at the North Chittenden Grange Hall located at 3 Lower Middle Road in Chittenden.
After retiring from corporate life, Smith continued his lifelong interest in history by developing historical maps and self-guided history tours. He is the author of two books on best-seller lists, “The Revolutionary War in Bennington County” and “Ethan Allen and the Capture of Fort Ticonderoga: America’s First Victory.”
Also, Smith is now a host for an award winning history program on Greater Northshire Access Television (GNAT-TV) and has made many presentations throughout New England and New York. He is a past president of the Manchester, Vt, Historical Society, and he is currently a trustee of the Vermont Historical Society. For more information, call Karen at 802-483-6471.
