VINS gives winter-loving adults a chance to enjoy a mid-winter night’s eve in Vermont.

Friday, Feb. 26 at 5:30 p.m. — QUECHEE — The Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) invites winter-loving adults (21 and above) to join the Snowshoe Wine and Dine on Friday, Feb. 26, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. This event is the perfect way to celebrate a winter night in Vermont. Join  for a beautiful, evening hike in the woods followed by a savory, candle-lit meal at the historic Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm.

Led by a VINS educator, participants will snowshoe (depending upon conditions) or hike the trails at the VINS Nature Center in Quechee from 5:30 to 7 p.m., prowling for owls and discovering the secret life of New England’s nocturnal residents. Hikers will then make their way inside for a delicious three-course meal at the Quechee Inn from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

The Snowshoe Wine and Dine event is $55 for members and $60 for the general public. Pre-registration is required by Feb. 22 by calling 802-359-5000, ext. 245. Participants should dress warmly and bring a headlamp if possible. Equipment rental at VINS is limited, so participants are encouraged to bring their own snowshoes.
