VINS hosts Autumn Cheese Festival

Saturday, Sept. 13 at 5:30 p.m. — QUECHEE — As the foliage season returns, the Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) invites all to two special events: third annual VINS online auction, culminating in the Autumn Cheese Festival on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Visit the online auction at www.vinsweb.org/auction. Choose from a variety of items, including an evening for two at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC); theater and dance performances; stays at area inns; limited-edition prints from local artists; exquisite handmade glass and pottery from Simon Pearce and Shackleton Thomas; and many other appealing items. Winning bidders can have their items shipped, or picked up during the Autumn Cheese Festival.

The VINS Autumn Cheese Festival serves as a special thank you to all supporters and members. Taking place on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the VINS Nature Center in Quechee, the event will showcase delectable cheeses from local cheese makers, as well as VINS raptor exhibits, a live bird program, and other Nature Center attractions. Admission is free, and the Nature Store will be open during the event.
