Vermont Gun Shop Project workshop to be held in Rutland, Sept. 18

Sunday, Sept. 18—RUTLAND—On Sunday, Sept. 18 the Vermont Gun Shop Project will host a free 90-minute workshop for the gun-owning community at the Rutland Country Club from 3:30-5 p.m.
Vermont Gun Shop Project seeks to reduce firearm-related suicides in Vermont.
The program makes three promises: 1) No one will judge you. 2) No one will seek to take away your rights under Article 16th of the Vermont Constitution. 3) We, the Gun Owners of Vermont, will be there for you and help in any way that we can.
“This program is a successful, proactive way to help people in our community who are in need of assistance during times of stress and depression,” wrote Ed Cutler, president of Gun Owners of Vermont, in a recent news release.
A second workshop will be held Sunday, Sept. 25 at the Fairbanks Museum in St Johnsbury from 4-5:30 p.m.
